Skills you'll gain
About this course
Financial modeling is the core skill behind analyst roles in finance, consulting, startups, and corporate strategy — and this course teaches it the way it's actually done: by building a complete model in Excel, cell by cell, until you understand every link. You'll first get genuinely efficient in Excel for finance — the functions, structure, and formatting that make a model readable and trustworthy. Then you'll connect the three financial statements so you truly understand how a business's economics flow together, rather than treating them as separate reports. From there you build an integrated three-statement model from scratch, forecast with assumptions you can defend, and value a company using a discounted-cash-flow model. You'll add scenario and sensitivity analysis, and finish with how to present the numbers so a decision-maker can act — because a model no one understands is useless. Basic Excel and comfort with numbers are enough; the finance concepts are taught clearly from the ground up. By the end you'll have built a real model you can show and explain in interviews.
